Objectives

  Develop a common scientific and strategic agenda that could lead to a roadmap for enhancing cooperation in the field of Mediterranean Agriculture.

  Deepen the scientific and strategic analysis of the challenges for the future and identifying actions.

 

Tasks

Task 1.1 Establishment of a Scientific and Strategic Advisory Board (SSAB)  (M1-M6)

Task leader: MIPAAF-IT, contributor INRA-FR

This tasks aims at defining the features of this very crucial external board, in terms of mission, number of participants, procedure for board members selection, role within the consortium and governance.

Task 1.2 Synthesis of Foresight studies in Med Area (M5-M12)

Task leader: INRA-FR; contributor MIPAAF-IT

This task will produce an input for the development of the ISRA. The existing foresight studies scenarios and strategies within the field of Med Area agriculture will be reviewed in order to identify the main challenges for the region.

Task 1.3 Synthesis of the Mediterranean priorities in the EU-Med policies (M10-M18)

Task leader: GDAR-TR, contributor MIPAAF-IT, MESRT-TN

The most important goal of this task is the identification of short, medium and long-period needs in term of research and innovation topics and capabilities. Based on the literature, experience, policies and strategies at European and national levels, the SSAB will identify and describe short, medium and long-term objectives for the EU and Mediterranean Countries policies and will report them in a specific position paper.

Task 1.4 Stakeholders and researchers consultations (M14-M16)

Task leader: IAV-MA, Contributor IRESA-TN

The final scope is to receive feedback from stakeholders and the scientific community on the priorities. An on-line consultation tool will be set up, to reach the maximum number of stakeholders and researchers from all over the world. A permanent on-line forum will also be opened.

Task 1.5 Integrated Strategic Research Agenda (ISRA) (M2-M30)

Task leader: MIPAAF-IT, contributor INRA-FR, MESRT-TN

The aim of this task is to produce, based on the outputs of all tasks of WP1, the first Integrated Strategic Research Agenda. It will constitute the principal ARIMNet2 view document/paper including the mission and the common vision of Med Countries involved. An adequate implementation action plan of ISRA will also be set up.
